“Yalla Yalla” Street Festival 2013
Al-Harah Gang 3:
A group of young trainees aged between 18 – 23 years old, who joined Al-Harah in 2010.
Al-Harah Gang 4:
This group was formed in 2012 and includes teenagers aged between 14-17 years old.
Al-Harah Gang 5:
This group was formed in 2012 and includes university students and youth aged between 19-25
years old.
In 2013
Gangs 3+4+5
continued an advanced drama and theater training on weekly basis as one
group.
Al-Harah Children Gang:
A group of children aged between 8-13 years old, which started in 2011. Trainers worked with
the Children once a week on drama and theater basics.
Al-Harah Gang 6:
This group was formed in 2013 and includes university students and youth aged between 16-23
years old. The group started working with Gang 6 on the drama foundation module. The training
will result in a short presentation in 2014.
Al-Harah New Children Gang:
A new group of children aged between 11-13 years old, which started on October 2013. Trainers
work with the Children once a week on drama and theater basics.
Again, “Yalla Yalla” Street Festival succeeded
in creating a colorful atmosphere in Beit Jala,
and in drawing smiles on every body's face. Al
Harah theater opened the Beit Jala
International Festival For Peace on the 30th of
August,2013.
Al Harah created 2 more giant puppets to join
the giant puppets family. Many performing
arts organizations participated at the parade,
among which were Baladi Folklore Center
dance group, El Funoun Palestinian Popular
Dance Troupe, Palestinian Circus School, Al
Kamandjati Center, Ashtar Theater, Lilac
organization, Skinni & Minni clowns group,
and many other groups who also participated
in the festival. Al-Harah Theater trainees also
took part at the parade.
Around 5000 people attended during the
parade.
Al Harah Managed to do 3 street festivals in
2013; two of them were mini parades at Al
Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem and at
the Bet Lahem live festival. Around 4000
people attended.
